AMBASSADOR:
1. An accredited diplomat sent by a country as it’s official representative;
2. A person who acts as a representative or promoter of a specific activity or group.
Ambassadors of Thee Leviathan are experienced Crewe members who promote positive engagement and interaction with the general public as well as with other Crewes and cosplay groups. They are outgoing, approachable and friendly, and naturally create a fun environment for everyone around them. Ambassadors often travel to many different events, proudly representing our Crewe and always demonstrating by example the Leviathan creed of Fun, Love and Acceptance.
When speaking with members of other Crewes, ambassadors act with respect and professionalism, and can be instrumental in forming and maintaining inter-Crewe friendships and alliances. They are always ready and willing to help local coxswains conduct Crewe events, and may be called upon by the Captain to assist with developing Leviathan communities in other geographic areas.
Joe Cassella
Joe Cassella began his piratical career in the greater Daytona Beach area in 2009, and was one of the original founders of Thee Leviathan. As a Captain Jack Sparrow impersonator with a love for entertaining kids, Joe was a natural choice for Ambassador. Over the years he's cosplayed at most of the faires and festivals in Florida as many characters in various genres, including fantasy, viking, steampunk, vampire, and of course lots of pirates! Joe is also a longtime member of the Krewe of Blackbeard's Revenge (KBR), a Gasparilla crewe based in Tampa. He recently relocated and now sails out of Orlando Florida.
Mark Wood
Mark W. Wood began pirating in 2009 in Daytona Beach as Captain Hector Barbossa, and was another founder of Thee Leviathan. As a highly recognizable character he was well suited for the Ambassador role, entertaining the public along with Joe Cassella as Jack Sparrow. Mark is an accomplished professional musician who's performed with many bands, including the popular group The Rusty Anchors. He now tours nationally with his band Miss Intent, visiting renaissance faires and pirate festivals across the country whenever he can.
Angelina Morgan
Artist, musician, entertainer, and long time pirate, Leviathan ambassador Angelina Morgan makes home port in Daytona Beach Florida. She's a multi talented lass who performs regularly with The Rusty Anchors, a pirate band touring faires and festivals around Florida. In true pirate fashion, she's also a savvy sword fighter and a quick shot with any black powder weapon from pistol to cannon, so mind yer manners around this pirate! Angelina has been a promoter and organizer many for pirate events like the Buccaneer Bash at the Ocean Walk in Daytona, and does volunteer work with the non-profit Pawsibilities Rescue Group.
Leslie Kill
Originally from the landlocked state of Ohio, Leslie Kill heard the call of the sea and booked passage to the shores of Florida, signing on to the buccaneer Crewe of Thee Leviathan in 2012. A teacher and jewelry maker by trade, she quickly made a name for herself at renaissance faires and pirate festivals as a vendor of fine jewelry, prompting her to open a shop in St Augustine's Historic District. Over the years Leslie has also been successful in the Steampunk genre and now owns and operates several shops in the Ancient City and online. As Leviathan ambassador, her involvement with both Pirate and Steampunk communities has helped many people transition between them and explore both genres.
Blossom Lothbrok
Inducted into Thee Leviathan in 2012, Blossom Lothbrok sails from the port of Tampa, Florida. Seemingly possessed of boundless energy, she loves to travel and make friends at as many ren faires and pirate festivals as she can in Florida, Georgia and beyond. Her outgoing, upbeat personality and large network of friends allow her to introduce and represent Leviathan to many people and attract new members to our crewe. For relaxation while at faire, Blossom enjoys competing in the elegant medieval sport of Rat Puck, at which she has demonstrated great skill.
Bill Sudbery
Bill is an accomplished artist and a former football coach who makes friends easily. A direct descendant of infamous Pirate/Privateer Henry Morgan, The Captain has nicknamed Bill "the Johnny Appleseed of the Pirate World" because Bill has helped create pirate groups for Thee Leviathan in the Florida Panhandle, in Naples, in New Orleans, and now in Arkansas. Where ever Bill Sudbery roams, thee Leviathan finds another new home.
